Embracing Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) can help to drive the resourcing strategy of any business.

For example, by not restricting your hiring efforts based on the age, gender or even which university a candidate went to, can open up a talent pool to a wide range of qualified candidates who can make a huge difference to a business.

Therefore, ensuring HR is driving its D&I agenda forwards is essential if a business is to attract and retain the best talent available to them. This has never been as crucial than it is now, where employees and potential new talent are all working remotely from their homes due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Meanwhile, a 2017 study carried out by Women Ahead discovered that supporting employee networks for specific demographic groups – based on gender, sexuality, ethnicity or religion, for example – has a direct link between employee retention and engagement.
