The coronavirus pandemic has caused a wealth of uncertainty for employers and employees alike.

Earlier this month, the Bank of England warned that the British economy could face the biggest slump in over 300 years in 2020 and that the UK’s unemployment rate is expected to reach nine per cent, the Mirror reported.

In addition, new research from Barnett Waddingham found that half of UK employees expect to be furloughed, fired or take a pay cut in the next three months, which will only add to the uncertainty.
