'Work family' | One thing you should NEVER tell your staff in coronavirus

One thing you should NEVER tell your staff in coronavirus

After over a month of social isolation, chances are all employees are chomping at the bit to get back into the office; whilst remote working is indeed proven to be – at least in some cases – better for productivity and worker wellbeing, the extended period away from valued colleagues and those within your profession who you also consider to be a friend takes its toll.

However, whilst these relationships are positive for business and should indeed be not only championed but also encouraged by leaders, one comparison that crosses a line and should, as such, never be part of the leadership vocabulary is the concept of any employee’s work community being their ‘family’.
