Business leaders across the globe have had to make drastic decisions in order to maintain their companies during the coronavirus pandemic, as the unprecedented virus has started to have a damaging impact on businesses.

Many have had to furlough staff in order to keep businesses afloat, while others have had to make the difficult decisions to let staff go as profits are no longer being made.

The past few weeks alone have seen the former Spice Girl and fashion designer Victoria Beckham furlough her staff at her VB brand, while celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay laid off 500 members of staff due to the struggles his business is facing as a result of coronavirus.

However, one business leader has gone further in his attempt to save his business; Sir Richard Branson has announced that he will remortgage his private Caribbean island to raise money to help his Virgin Group business survive, reported The Guardian.
