When it comes to attracting and retaining talent, there are a number of things that employers can put in place to ensure their staff remain as loyal as possible.

Whether that’s through a comprehensive L&D offering, regular salary reviews, the option of hangover days, discounts to high street stores or a subscription to streaming services, the benefits an organisation offers can make all the difference.

This is supported by recent statistics; research from EBRI found that 78% of employees claim that work perks are an extremely important part of their decision when applying for a new job. Elsewhere, a Willis Towers Watson study found that 75% of employees are more likely to stay with their employer because of their employee benefits package.

This is something that online retailer The Very Group recognised and, as such, incorporated a rewards and recognition offering to ensure staff at the organisation felt appreciated for their efforts and continued hard work. Helen Miller, Talent, Culture and Communications Director at The Very Group, told HR Grapevine that the business wanted to put something in place to reward staff.
