How ready is the UK workplace to deal with the spread of a highly contagious virus like COVID-19?
Whilst many are publicly testing remote working, updating disaster protocols, testing out shifting work patterns and using lots and lots of hand sanitiser, the vast majority of Britain’s workplaces are woefully underprepared, with nearly 40% stating that as of yet, not a single precaution has been taken and no plans were in place – according to a new study announced today by CartidgePeople.
The survey also asked respondents what, if any, changes were set to be introduced to their workplace to try and combat the spread of coronavirus. Whilst 60% said there had been no changes made at work, 17% had seen internal communications such as emails and posters providing information.

As is the case at football grounds across the UK, there's also been a handshake ban put in place by businesses with seven per cent of respondents to the survey saying they were now told not to shake hands with colleagues in the workplace. Four per cent have been issued facemasks in the workplace whilst 18% of people have seen hand sanitisers distributed in their place of work.
