There is a fine line between having light-hearted banter with colleagues and telling inappropriate stories or jokes that are offensive and could land an employee in hot water.

Despite this, a new study has found that one in three men in the UK think it is acceptable to tell jokes or stories of a sexual nature at work.

The research – which was carried out to signify International Women’s Day (March 8, 2020) and polled 20,000 people in 27 countries – found that 28% of British men think it is acceptable to tell sexual jokes and stories in the workplace, which compared to just 16% of women.
