Government reveals plans to tackle outbreak

Earlier today, the Government issued a coronavirus action plan which will act as a guide to illustrate to employers what they can expect across the UK.

The Government’s response is currently within its first stage – which is to contain the outbreak – as the number of UK cases have risen from 39 to 51 on Tuesday, according to the BBC.

Possible precautionary measures include reducing large-scale gatherings, remote working arrangements and school closures.

In its latest plans, the Government said that up to one-fifth of the workforce could be off sick at some point due to coronavirus.
