During her 10 years in Olympic sport, Katherine Moore has worked with multiple Olympic champions in roles including Head of Sports Science and Medicine for British Canoeing and as Lead Physiotherapist for The English Institute of Sport.
Yet when she’s not helping the cream of Britain’s athletic talent to achieve their dreams, she’s working as part of Track Record to help business leaders better understand how they respond to and mitigate against stressful situations. What can athletic techniques really teach business leaders about how they can thrive? Executive Grapevine caught up with Katherine to find out.
Thanks for talking to us Katherine. So, your career within Team GB has been full of success. What do you look back on most with pride?
The highlight has to be the London Games, which were just an incredible experience and a combination of a lot of work. The fact that it was at home and the atmosphere that was created and the sort of tangible feeling from everyone, even if they'd been slightly sceptical about having a Games in London and then being in that environment and seeing what an incredible impact that has, from every sense from the team to the kind of wider community.
