Boris Johnson’s Conservative Party has won the general election – allowing the MP for Uxbridge & South Ruislip to return to No 10 Downing Street as Prime Minister.
Johnson, formerly the Foreign Secretary and Mayor of London, wins the largest Tory majority since 1987 with 364 conservative members of parliament and a majority of 74 seats.
Speaking to Conservative activists in London last week, Johnson stated that Brexit – the New York-born Prime Minister campaigned with a ‘get Brexit done’ slogan – will now be able to be completed.

He said: “With this mandate and this majority we will at last be able to [get Brexit done] because this election means that getting Brexit done is now the irrefutable, irresistible, unarguable decision of the British people.”
