Workplace sexism | Can you ask employees to be naked at work?

Recently, HR Grapevine covered news that a leading Game of Thrones star felt ‘guilt-tripped’ into being naked at work.

Actress Emilia Clarke, who portrayed Daenerys Targaryen across eight seasons, admitted that she hadn’t agreed to nude scenes on accepting the part.

However, she soon found out that her role entailed a lot of nudity – something she described as “overwhelming”.

Not wanting to kick up a fuss she didn’t complain – show bosses mentioned that she shouldn’t ‘disappoint fans’ – but has admitted she would be a lot savvier about what roles she would take in the future.
