The Board of Directors of French automobile firm Renault ousted its CEO Thierry Bollore in October 2019, at the time stating that it had "decided to end the mandate of Mr Thierry Bolloré as Chief Executive Officer of Renault SA and President of Renault s.a.s with immediate effect.”
The announcement came after rumours of a management shake-up appeared in French newspapers earlier in the year and were understood to be an effort by the brand to further distance itself from former boss Carlos Ghosn, who was arrested over financial misconduct allegations.
