In the modern work climate, companies are appreciating that to retain and attract new employees, their culture and leadership need to be constantly attentive and considerate of employees’ needs.
Whereas some companies fail to understand the relationship between employee wellness and bottom-line profitability, there are many who understand the correlation between the two and are willing to invest in their people.
According to research conducted by the Chartered Institute of People Development, companies that invested in ensuring that workers are happy had 44% higher employee morale and productivity, whilst 35% of staff felt healthier and that their work environment was inclusive, and saw a 31% reduction in sickness absence.
So what companies are leading the way in worker wellness? According to employer review company Glassdoor, a list was compiled for this year by analysing company reviews and ratings from both current job incumbents as well as former employees. The list order was determined by examining millions of reviews, in which researchers looked at quantity, quality and consistency of the reviews to evaluate which companies made the cut.
