Julieann Brennan, Head of HR at Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, spoke to HR Grapevine about exciting HR projects that she has in the pipeline and her process when implementing new HR strategies…

Can you tell me a little bit about your role?

As Head of HR for Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels UK & Ireland, I’m responsible for leading all aspects of the people strategy for our business and team members. As one of the fastest growing hotel groups in the UK and Ireland, we currently have 49 hotels and almost 4,000 employees. Growth is very much at the heart of our strategy, so we continue to look at expansion opportunities. It’s therefore a very exciting time not only for me, but for all of our team members.

How do you implement new HR strategies when the hotel group is fast growing, continuously changing and hospitality demands new skills regularly?
