You’ve just stepped into the office on the first day of your new job feeling energised and ready to go.

After meeting and greeting your team you’re taken into tour first meeting of the day to discuss the plan of action for the week ahead, but your boss keeps rambling on about bandwidth, boiling the ocean and things that are granular. Panic ensues and you start to feel very much out of your depth as you wonder what on earth these odd buzzwords mean.

With any role often comes a barrage of corporate jargon employees have to get to grips with. While these strange phrases aren’t always necessary to a job and to help get tasks done, business leaders and colleagues will still often adopt buzzwords.
