Today marks World Mental Health Day; a day which has sought to show better support for those battling with mental health issues and encourage people to prioritise their own wellbeing.

While the stigmas surrounding mental health are gradually being broken down and it is, rightly so, becoming less of a taboo subject, a wealth of research has suggested that employers need to do more to support their staff.

Research from DBI Furniture found that just shy of half (48%) of respondents said that they would like better mental health support from their employer.

The survey of 2,000 people revealed that 51% of women felt that their employer could provide ‘a lot more’ support, with 46% of men stating the same.
