It starts out as a niggling voice echoing around the back of your mind, and it may dissipate briefly as a new promotion, wage rise or good new company policies kick in.

Yet after a while, it will inevitably resurface to cloud your thoughts and promote second-guessing every time a new labour-intensive project appears. That one question, which gets louder and louder as the weeks go by – should I quit my job?

Yet for a single short question, it’s terribly hard to answer. In fact, in the current time of political, social and economic uncertainty, more people than ever are choosing to ignore that internal voice and stay in positions in which they are unhappy or stifled creatively.
