Yesterday the tour operating company Thomas Cook hit headlines after the firm failed to scrape together £200million over the weekend and headed into liquidation.

As a result, thousands of employees, who were in pilot, cabin crew or travel agency roles have lost their jobs. Many employees remain unsure about what this means for them and whether or not they will actually get paid.

Therefore, HR Grapevine caught up with Tracey Guest, a Partner and Head of Employment at North-West based law firm Slater Heelis, to find out.
