Oops | Fatal office faux pas to avoid at all costs

There are some very simple ways to lose credibility in your career.

For example, it should come as no surprise that constantly descending into screaming matches with your senior leadership team will, inevitably, convince them that you aren’t competent (and will probably lead to being fired), whilst consistently turning up late – or not turning up at all – to work will also erode the respect those around you have for you.

Whilst it’s easy not to fall into these traps – even the most incompetent of workers are well aware that their bosses deserve some respect – yet the vast majority of workers who end up in some form of trouble at work aren’t jaunting about swearing at bosses and choosing their own working hours. The vast majority of those who are asked not to return are in fact convinced that they are model workers.

How can this be? Simply because the majority of things that can get you fired are far more subtle than one may assume. It only takes a few consistent faux pas before people start to notice – and concerns are raised.
