Toxicity in the workplace is sadly now more commonplace than businesses may wish to believe; meanwhile, employees are also becoming troublesome as research by Monster found last year that 76% of bosses were considered toxic by their employees.

Companies such as Badoo and Culture Trip have also hit headlines recently due to their toxic culture and spiteful employees who have been labelled as bullies. It’s crucial for organisations to be able to spot their most toxic staff members, to prevent the situation from getting any worse.

In 2015, Harvard shared a study on workplace toxicity that highlighted three big red flags when it comes to a toxic employee and what to look out for, which have been listed below:
