“We’re a company going through an acquisition and are very led by our consumer brand.

"Historically in the UK, the big consumer brands that are recognisable are Ladbrokes and Coral who went through a merger about three years ago and then about a year ago were acquired by GVC,” explained Jennifer Heyes, Director of Talent & Development at GVC, who is just a couple of months into her new role.

As a corporation, Heyes said that the individual legacy brands each have strong brand identities, as well as employee engagement, but GVC’s current mission is to bring those cultures together and lead the pack in terms of maintaining an industry leader status.

“From an HR perspective, it’s a classic time [for me to come in] as we’re going through a point of integration and we’re very much looking to the future in terms of how we position ourselves, be the best in the market, and define what this means for us from a talent development perspective.”
