HR's New Year Resolutions
HR's New Year Resolutions

With the New Year upon us, everyone is getting ready to bin last year’s sins and pledge that 2019 will be their year. Whether it's participating in ‘Dry January’, enduring a carb-free February (at least in the presence of your committed pals) or a simple oath to become more selfless, we all coerce ourselves to make a substantial lifestyle change. Even if we can’t resist the temptation to reverse it a few days later.

Most will also have a professional goal too. And companies and departments will, too, be setting targets. To see what is on the agenda, HR Grapevine caught up with a number of HR practitioners to discuss their HR-related resolutions at the beginning of the New Year.

Jignesh Ramji, Global Head of Leadership and Talent Development at Bloomberg LP – Diversity and Inclusion

“Over the last few years, the Diversity and Inclusion agenda is becoming much more personal to me. My resolution is to really drive this agenda forward and create meaningful change. Embedding Diversity and Inclusion – beyond an HR checkpoint –from the way we recruit, the way we screen candidates, the way that we develop leaders and the way that we accelerate high potential diverse talent will get us better representation of diverse talent in the top, middle and entry-level of the organisation.”
