Last night, it was announced that Uber lost its latest appeal against a court ruling that its drivers should be treated as workers rather than independent contractors – the BBC reports.
Court of Appeal judges upheld the ridesharing company’s latest appeal – to revoke an earlier ruling that entitled drivers to basic employment protections - which means that Uber drivers are now entitled to sick pay, holiday pay and parental leave.

Co-lead claimant, Farrar said in a statement following the ruling that he is delighted with the outcome.
