Greene King, River Island and itsu were among businesses awarded for their commitment to employee development at an awards ceremony which took place at St James’s Palace yesterday.

The Princess Royal Training Award, presented by City and Guilds Group and Princess Anne, honours employers who have crafted outstanding training and development programmes.

Princess Anne, President of the City and Guilds of London Institute, said in an opening speech to her guests:

“The applicants for [this year] were stronger and supported by focussed evidence and my thanks go to the commissioners for maintaining these standards”.
