When looking for potential interns, there are several factors you’ll be considering – school grades, out of school activities, passion for your field, and so on.
However, both your selection method and your internship itself could be putting off candidates from certain backgrounds.
For example, a young person who cannot afford to go unpaid for several weeks will be unable to take on an unpaid placement, and somebody from a school in an underprivileged area might not be able to score a clutch of A grades and A*s when it comes to exam time, despite having plenty of potential.
So, how can you ensure you’re reaching all of the best candidates for internships?
