Some large fleets are extending leasing contracts because of the uncertainty that continues to surround the impact of the new WLTP fuel consumption and emissions test on company car taxation, according to research from Arval.

What is WLTP?

The Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) laboratory test is used to measure fuel consumption and CO2 emissions from passenger cars. The new test came into force in 2017 and replaces the old test, called the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
