BeLinked: The dating app for professionals that 'weeds out unemployed'

Potentially one of the more controversial dating apps around at the moment, BeLinked unapologetically syncs data from LinkedIn in order to weed out any undesirables.

A new approach to professional matchmaking, BeLinked markets itself at professional people looking to find a like-minded mate. CEO Max Fischer told The Guardian, that in order to use the app, you must be “ambitious, career focused and excited about life.” The app “weeds out” unemployed candidates or those working in “dead end jobs.”

And though the app may have raised a few eyebrows, Fischer is adamant that it’s the new way to date. In fact, he got the idea when he was perusing his own LinkedIn account.

“I noticed a woman looking at my LinkedIn page on a regular basis, through the popular ‘who’s viewed your profile’ feature,” he told the publication. “So I decided to ask her for coffee. And it turned out to be a successful dating experience.
