A recent reddit thread asked employers: “What did an interviewee say that immediately made you not want to hire them?”

An answer by Jehehwent went one further and detailed how an interviewee ruined their chances before they had spoken: “Had a guy show up for an interview wearing a cowboy hat, a wife beater and was eating an ice cream cone. Not that that was bad enough, we asked why he left his last job and he said: ‘I rolled a customer’s car while racing it’.”
