Spend Christmas day with – Crisis
Instead of hunkering down and flicking the television to another Christmas film, whilst eating yourself into a regretful state, why not do something different?
Crisis, the national charity for homeless people needs all the volunteers they can get to help them out at Christmas, in centres in Birmingham, Coventry, Edinburgh, London and Newcastle. Christmas volunteers can use their skills to help feed, dress and entertain those who are living without homes, who usually spend the festive season in loneliness and isolation.
Helen Walker, Chief Executive of volunteering charity TimeBank, says that volunteering puts the goodwill back into Christmas and makes a real impact on the community.
