The final step to truly embedding purpose within your business, once it has been defined in a memorable way and given true meaning, is to live it.

When it comes to RB’s purpose, Yates says: “We make decisions by it; where we focus, where we put our resources, where we put our brands - and we also decide not to do things because of it.

“You make decisions in a different hierarchy when you start with the purpose. And so it very quickly becomes a guide to how you operate your business.”
