Go - on a Ghost Walk
Learning about the history behind where you live can either be a trick or a treat, but if you’re on a ghost walk it’s possibly going to be the latter. Being guided by a storyteller through the streets you commonly walk on, to then find out about a chilling murder a few decades ago can both disconcert you and change your perception.
Opening your eyes to new information and challenging what we accept as the norm is a challenge presenting itself every day. Many employers talk about diversity – but the fact that it is still a frequently discussed topic means that we haven’t achieved it.
For example, recently the BBC found that one in ten football fans would stop watching their team play if they found out a player was gay. Although a small minority – the fact that discrimination is still present in our modern society needs addressing.
