The UK is 18% less productive than the average of G7 developed countries.

To remain at the top table of the economic regions, the UK has started to closer examine the reasons why productivity is lagging.

Tracey Deeks, Executive Director - Corporate Resources at Irish Life, and Karen Woods, Head of UK Human Resources at Canada Life, believe that one way to address staff productivity is through employee engagement and health and wellbeing schemes.

They also pose the question about what changes they should make at an organisational level to support increased productivity.
