Should employers breathalyse staff?

It’s not unusual for employees to enjoy a drink after work, especially if they have had a particularly stressful day – but sometimes one drink can turn in to many. If an employee has exceeded their recommended daily allowance (three to four units for men, and two to three for women) then they may be over the legal limit the following day. But should they be breathalysed?
