Fleet car safety is more than just about vehicle checks

Company cars may be one of the better job perks on offer, but everyone agrees that safety is paramount when managing a fleet. Selwyn Cooper is the Head of Business Sales at Volvo Cars UK. He tells HR Grapevine that it is up to businesses to not only “ensure that all employees have access to vehicles when travelling for business purposes,” but also to “offer the most comfortable, practical and - crucially - the safest vehicles to staff.” And cars are getting safer, there is no doubt about it. Advancements in technology mean that; blind spots have been spotted, reversing collisions have been reversed and unsafe stopping distances have been stopped
