13 jobs for people who hate people

Not every employee is a people person, and while that can make water cooler conversations awkward in some offices, there are roles that are perfect for people who want to avoid human interaction altogether.

And this group may be larger than people think, with 33% of UK workers saying that office politics is a major contributing factor to why they feel unhappy at work. 

The Independent has compiled a list of the 13 best jobs for people who’d rather avoid human contact. The list was put together using a US Department of Labour database that has information on 974 occupations.

The database rates each occupation on a scale from zero to 100. The lower the rate, the less social interaction will be required by the worker.
