Theo Paphitis talks about managing the heart of his organisation - his employees.

Celebrities are, by definition, individuals who are ‘known’ by many. But in reality, the general public doesn’t really know what these people are like. Some keep their personalities well-hidden and are only in the limelight when performing. Others are transparent with their character – but it is exactly that, a character. Because of this I didn’t know what to expect when meeting Theo Paphitis.

The entrepreneur, best known for his appearances on Dragons’ Den, has always come across as an individual who is firm but fair. He was never the mean one (Duncan Bannatyne took that role) but he was no softy. He was accustomed to breaking people’s products and bluntly telling them their ideas were no good – he was a ‘Dragon’ after all. And so, I didn’t know if walking into his ‘Den’ in Wimbledon (where his businesses are headquartered) would result in me being scorched or not.
