‘Human-led’ | EY rolls out agentic AI for entire 130,000-employee audit workforce

EY has embarked on a major rollout of agentic AI across its global assurance division, transforming the daily work of more than 130,000 employees worldwide.

The accounting giant revealed on Tuesday that auditors will now work in tandem with agents to manage complex tasks and processes.

It is the latest milestone for the company as it invests billions of dollars in developing assurance technology, modernising business practices, and getting employees up to speed with enterprise AI tools.

EY’s aim is to deliver a “human-led, AI-powered audit of the future,” chief exec Janet Truncale said.
