Hiring platform Greenhouse has appointed Sharawn Tipton as chief people officer, adding a senior people leader as the company continues to expand its workforce and product offering.

In the role, Tipton will focus on identifying opportunities where people strategy can support Greenhouse’s commercial goals while strengthening the employee experience as the business grows.

Daniel Chait, co-founder and CEO of Greenhouse, said the appointment followed a search focused on balancing commercial nous with inclusive leadership.

“Getting the right leadership in the role of chief people officer is mission-critical,” Chait said. “Throughout the search, we prioritized finding a leader who combines strong commercial acumen and steady judgment with a proven ability to drive inclusive organizational change. Sharawn demonstrated all of these qualities throughout the process, and I am confident she will be a strong addition to our team.”

Tipton brings more than 20 years of experience across public and private companies, where she has led people functions spanning total rewards, organizational design, and IDEA initiatives.

Most recently, she served as chief people and culture officer at LiveRamp, where she led human resources globally, developing people strategies intended to support business outcomes while building inclusive, high trust workplace cultures.

Growth, products, and people strategy

Tipton joins Greenhouse during a period of rapid product development and growth. The company has recently launched offerings including Real Talent, MyGreenhouse, and Dream Job, alongside its fall 2025 packaged product releases.

The products are designed to address what the company described as a chaotic recruitment environment, where hiring teams are managing large volumes of applications alongside AI generated resumes and increasing fraud risk. New features include expanded analytics, fraud detection, and smarter scheduling tools.

Chait said the broader platform strategy is aimed at helping employers manage hiring pressure more effectively.

“Teams face surging applications, AI-driven resumes, rising fraud, and constant budget and operational pressures,” he said. “Our vision is to create a platform that helps companies consistently find the right talent. By using technology to surface the best candidates, reduce risk, and streamline workflows, we’re helping employers succeed in an environment where every interaction matters.”

Tipton said the company’s mission was a key factor in her decision to join.

“I joined Greenhouse because helping people land their ideal job is my purpose, and Greenhouse is one of the most trusted platforms for making that possible,” she said. “In a world where millions of people are navigating hiring uncertainty, this mission matters more than ever.

“I’m deeply committed to this work because people unlock everything. The right culture and leadership can advance innovation, elevate performance, and change lives.”
