
Only a fifth (23%) of UK workers have exercised their right to request flexible working, despite just over half of UK employees being aware of the law changes brought in last year allowing them to do so,.
54% of UK workers are aware of the Government’s right to request flexible working legislation launched in June last year, according to research released from O2 Business.
UK employees revealed that it was a lack of trust (31%), along with a general business culture that doesn’t encourage working away from the office (28%) and a lack of technology or tools to facilitate it (20%), as the main barriers preventing them adopting the policy.
