The Morrisons exodus continues as the grocer’s Group HR Director becomes the eighth executive board member to leave since March.
Emily Lawson joined Morrisons in September 2013 after spending just under 15 years at McKinsey and Company, where she became a Partner.
A Morrisons spokesman said: “As Morrisons moves into its next phase, Emily Lawson will be leaving to take up new opportunities in the future. We thank Emily for her contribution to the business and wish her well for the future.”
CEO David Potts wielded the axe on the executive board in March, clearing out Group Customer Marketing and Digital Director Nick Collard, Group Retail Director Martyn Fletcher, Group Property and Strategy Director Gordon Mowat, Group Logistics Director Neal Austin and Convenience Managing Director Nigel Robertson.
