Leaked Sony emails reveal allegations of racist, sexist culture

Leaked emails from Sony have revealed accusations of a culture of racism, verbal abuse, sexual harassment and gender bias.

Emails obtained by Gawker reveal that the company’s top lawyer received a message from an unnamed African-American woman who worked for Keith Le Goy, President of International Distribution at Sony Pictures Television, in which she claims she and other African-American co-workers were passed over for promotions in favour of less experienced Caucasian employees.

She also says that she was the victim of frequent expletive-laden verbal attacks and she alleges that Le Goy sexually harassed her on multiple occasions.
