Gender equality in UK is worse than ever

Gender equality and the gap between men and women in the workplace have widened, according to a Global Gender Gap Report.

The report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) shows the UK is no longer in the top 20 countries and falls behind countries such as Iceland and the Philippines.

In 2006 the UK ranked a noteworthy ninth in the world for gender equality. That’s compared to its current position of just 26th. It was also the UK’s lowest overall score since 2008.
