Emma Watson fights for gender equality as UN Ambassador

British actress and recently appointed UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, Emma Watson delivered a stirring speech at the UN headquarters in New York as she launched the “HeForShe” campaign.

The campaign is described as a “solidarity movement for gender equality that brings together one half of humanity in support of the other of humanity, for the entirety of humanity”.

Watson spoke of her desire for both men and women alike to get involved with the campaign saying: “we want to try and galvanize as many men and boys as possible to be advocates for gender equality.”
