X Factor skiver keeps job

An X Factor contestant who bunked off work in order to audition has been allowed to keep her job after Simon Cowell pleaded with her boss not to sack her.

Kerrianne Covell, 23, revealed she had a history of being fired from jobs due to her desire to pursue her music career, and was already warned by her current boss at Footlocker in Middlesbrough about “going AWOL.”

Explaining her situation, Covell revealed that she’d been dismissed for missing work in order to perform at gigs.
