VIDEO: How to answer difficult interview questions

“What is your biggest flaw?” – this is just one of the many clichéd questions we have all been asked at some point during an interview.

The temptation is to answer by saying your biggest flaw is not being able to answer these difficult, and arguably pointless, questions. But nevertheless interviewers will no doubt continue to ask them for years to come.

And so, HR Grapevine decided to ask a selection of these questions to a collection of top HR professionals from our annual event ‘HR Can Change The World’. After all, who could be better placed to come up with the right answer?

However, it became clear that if you ask, you shall receive. In other words, the responses were just as cliché as the questions (with a few exceptions). This clearly shows that recruiters need to ask more tailored questions when assessing talent if they want to separate the best from the rest.

How would you rate the answers given? And how would you respond? Comment below.
