UK business failing to exploit “benefit of benefits”

UK businesses are failing to exploit the “benefit of benefits”, with many underestimating their value and failing to raise awareness amongst employees.

That’s according to Adam Nuckley, a Reward Consultant with Innecto Reward Consulting, who compares benefits as the ‘middle child’ of reward.

He explains: “Benefits is not the first child of reward; that’s base pay which is sensible and first in line when it comes to benchmarking. 

“Nor is it the youngest child of reward, bonus; the most talked about and frequently focussed on.  No, it’s the middle child, muddling along with occasional pity time thrown its way once a year at policy renewal time if it’s lucky.”
