The missing layer in HR tech: helping managers act

The HR technology conversation has moved at remarkable speed. AI can draft documents, answer questions and analyse information in seconds.

Meanwhile, in many organisations, a manager dealing with a real people issue still emails HR to ask: ‘What do I do next?’

That is not necessarily because policies are unavailable, training has failed or managers do not care. It is because there remains a significant gap between having information and being able to act on it confidently.

A policy can explain the organisation’s position on absence, performance or conduct. It rarely helps a manager navigate the actual situation in front of them: which questions to ask, what to record, where the risks might be and when HR genuinely needs to become involved.
