1) Ask the arguers to listen to each other.

All too often in arguments, people are too focused on what they will say next rather than addressing the points the other is making. Get your two combatants to sit down together, and give each a few minutes to speak without interruption. This can help them to understand each others viewpoint better, even if it doesn’t instantly lead to an agreement.

2) See where you have failed

Do you (or other managers) hold any responsibility for this argument? Have you played favourites, or accidentally pitted your team members against each other? Maybe your instructions have been vague and open to different interpretations, thus causing the fight.
