1. Your manager has their own fears
Whilst you might be stressed about meeting your manager’s deadlines, they’ll have their own fears and pressure. Just because they’re a level or two above you, does not mean that they’re immune to pressures – of course, your boss is human too. Bear this in mind when you’re speaking with them.
2. Your manager is confused about the goal
With so many people to manage, often your boss might forget the goal of everyone in the team. Remind them, gently, what your priorities are and they’ll be grateful to know that you’re aware and managing your workload. This way, you’ll keep them off your back.
