1. ‘Executive time’

In Trump’s daily schedule there are large time periods dedicated to ‘executive time’. Axios reports that this “almost always means TV and Twitter time alone in the residence.” The first period of the day, from 8am to 11am, is ‘Executive Time’. On Thursday this week, his schedule involves three blocks dedicated to ‘policy’ or ‘Executive’ time.

However, periods of downtime throughout the day might be one way in which staff do their best work. Recently, firms which don’t give their staff downtime made the news. Numerous reports found that Amazon delivery drivers were working longer than 11 hours straight, and urinating in bottles, foregoing breaks to meet targets. Bosses: take a leaf out of Trump’s book. Give staff the ‘executive time’ they deserve.
